| Network Node Manager |
The following releases support the Daylight Saving Time change: Network Node Manager 6.41, 7.01, 7.50/7.51. However, the version of Java run-time, JRE 1.4.x, which currently ships with those releases does not support the DST change. Hotfixes for the supported NNM versions with the updated JRE (1.4.2_11) that supports the DST change are available for download via the HP ftp site. Additionally, the next formal patches for each release of Network Node Manager will contain the DST fix. Versions prior to 6.41 must be upgraded to a current version to support the DST changes.
For NNM version 6.2, NNM uses JRE 1.1.x for which no DST compliant updates are available. Therefore no Java updates will be provided for NNM 6.2. On NNM 6.2, the scheduled reports will be delayed by 1 hour until the date of the old DST change (First Sunday in April) and also will be early by 1 hour from the last Sunday in October (old DST change) to the first Sunday in November (2007 DST change).
Impact with unpatched system:
- 1. Scheduled ET discovery delayed by 1 hr
- 2. Scheduled NNM reports delayed by 1 hr
- 3. Display of some timestamps off by 1 hr on Java / Browser based UI views
Addtional details can be found in e-Care document OV-EN022861.

Maintenance releases for RAMS versions 3.7 and 4.5 are now available. Sites running a RAMS 3.7 or 4.5 release can use the "Check For Updates" button on the Software Update page to populate the release URL field. As with all major release number updates, sites running older versions will need to copy and paste the URL from this message. For major release number updates it is recommended to rename the currently running databases before applying the update as there could be changes to the DB schema between versions.
Additional details are described in e-Care document OV-EN022862.

| Performance Insight(OVPI) |
Performance Insight has two components that are affected by Daylight Savings Time (DST).
Back-end modules: These depend on the Operating System to return the time.
Front-end modules:These depend on the JRE to return the time.
The OVPI versions affected by DST and the solutions for respective customers are as follows.
- OVPI 5.2: The OVPI 5.2 release planned for mid of 2007 will support the DST enhancement.
- OVPI 4.6, 5.0, and 5.1: The existing customers of OVPI 4.6, 5.0, and 5.1 need to upgrade their Operating Systems and JRE versions to support the DST. We will issue a Technical Information note and an e-care document for the upgrade process.
- OVPI 4.5: The OVPI 4.5 version uses JRE 1.3.x for which the DST compliant is not available. Hence, no Java updates would be provided for this release. The existing customers of OVPI 4.5 will notice the following changes in reports:
- Reports will be delayed by one hour until the first Sunday in April (date of the old DST change).
- Reports will come early by one hour from the last Sunday in October (date of the old DST change) to the first Sunday in November (date of the 2007 DST change).
