If you have a current support contract for HP Database Archiving, and you require assistance with the product, you can open an issue online (preferred method), or by phone.
Setup for Entering Online Issues
To enter issues online, you will need an HP Passport account. To create the account, go to http://www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwaresupport. Select Register at the top of the page and enter your contract information. After creating the passport account, login at the same website, and click on Check Entitlement on the right side of the page. Add your SAID (Service Agreement Identification). If you don't know your SAID, click on Investigate Contract. Fill out as much information on the form as you can, and submit.
Entering online issues
Once you have a passport account that is tied to a current SAID, you can enter issues by going to http://www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwaresupport. Under Problem Reporting, click on Submit Support Case
Please provide the following information in your case:
- Version of HP Database Archiving that you are running
- Type and version of the database that you are using
- Operating System that Database Archiving is running on
- The configuration of your installation (Single Instance, Distributed)
- Description of your problem
- Any relevant attachments
Contacting Support by Phone
The preferred method of opening a support issue is online, but you can also contact support by phone. Be sure to have your SAID available. Go to http://www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwaresupport. In the upper left corner, click on Contact HP, then click on For HP Software Support. Call the number listed for your country. Request that an issue be opened for Database Archiving.

Setup for obtaining product updates
Before attempting to retrieve Product Updates, you will need an ITRC account. Go to http://www.itrc.com/. Click on login on the left side. Click on register near the bottom of the page. After you have created your account, log on to your account.
- click on my profile
- click on view support agreements
- click on enable access to additional services
- click on link a support agreement to your SAID
- add your SAID
- click on link
If you do not know your SAID, see section above entitled Setup for Entering Online Issues.
5.1 product updates are in ISO format. If you are not familiar with working with ISO files, contact HP Database Archiving Support using methods described above. To download product updates from ITRC:
- Go to http://www.itrc.com/
- Click on Software Update Manager
- Click on download updates
- Scroll down to see a list of products that can be downloaded for the registered SAID.
- Click on the select button to the right of the product that you want to download. There are three files that you should download:
- a platform specific file for the core software
- the Apps Pack Media Kit, which is not platform specific
- the Windows version of the core software in order to install the console client.
- For each download, click on the Accept button on the next form
- Click on the download button to the right of the software that you want to download.

- Click on software patches
- Enter your HP Passport userid and password, if prompted for them
- For 6.1, under product, choose Database Archiving
- Choose All Operating Systems
- Click on Search. Scroll down to see results.
