Program overview
On May 15, 2004, Hewlett-Packard (HP) announced the version obsolescence for the HP OpenView Smart Plug-In for webMethods, also called the webMethods SPI. Full Support for the webMethods SPI will end July 31, 2004 and Maintenance Support will end November 30, 2006.

HP strongly advises all customers using the webMethods SPI to migrate to the webMethods Gallery SPI, which is planned for release in the Summer of 2004. The upcoming webMethods Gallery SPI is a free, unsupported Smart Plug-In that will be heavily focused on monitoring features.
