Technical chat for Service Manager - Pilot launches!
April 13, 2012: Technical Chat is coming! How would you like to connect with a technical engineer and have issues worked on in real time? This is exactly what we will be offering via our "next generation" of support, utilizing Chat as a new channel to resolve technical issues for our customers.
The first two questions you probably have are "When will it be available?" and "How can I access it to start using it?" Great questions and we have great answers!
When will it be available? We are starting to pilot Technical Chat with the Service Manager product. We are flipping the switch and going live with this pilot the week of April 16th.
How can Technical Chat be accessed? By logging into the SSO Portal with your HP Passport ID. Once you do this, a chat button appears in the lower left corner of the SSO Portal home page. In fact, it’s already there, you can see it now. You may already be using it to chat with us, because we’ve had chat in place for almost a year now. But we never offered direct support for Technical Cases before now. After we go live the week of April 9th, you will be able to open Service Manager technical cases and chat live with a Service Manager engineer via this same chat channel.
