HP Software product hierarchy updates

October 25, 2013: HP Software announces updates being made to its product hierarchy.

Once a year, each HP Software business unit revises its product hierarchy. This hierarchy is used to group products into Centers or Product Families. As of November 2013, the following changes will be effective for the IT Management portfolio (previously called Hybrid & Cloud):

Application Lifecycle Management
  • Introduce Functional Testing Center with the HP Business Process Testing (including TurnKey Business Process Testing Accelerator), HP Functional Testing (including HP QuickTest Professional), HP QuickTest Professional Essentials, HP Service Test, HP Service Test Management and HP Unified Functional Testing products moving from Application Lifecycle Management Center to Functional Testing Center.
  • Introduce Mobile Center with the Perfecto Fully Managed for HP Unified Functional Testing product moving from Application Lifecycle Management Center to Mobile Center.
  • Introduce Lifecycle Virtualization Center with the HP Service Virtualization and Shunra Network Virtualization products moving from Application Lifecycle Management Center to Lifecycle Virtualization Center.
Business Service Management
  • Introduce Analytics Center for the HP Operations Analytics and HP Service Health Analyzer products, moving from Services and Operations Bridge Center and from Application Performance Management respectively.
Cloud and Automation
  • Rename Cloud Automation and Management Center to Automation Center.
  • Rename Data Center Automation Center to Orchestration Center.
  • Move HP Cloud Service Automation from Cloud Automation and Management Center to Orchestration Center.
  • Move HP BSA Essentials, HP Service Automation, HP Service Automation Reporter and HP Service Automation Visualizer from Data Center Automation Center to Automation Center.
Service and Portfolio Management
  • Rename IT Performance Suite Foundation to Configuration Management System.
  • Introduce Asset Management Center with the HP Asset Manager and HP Connect-It products moving from Service Management Center to Asset Management Center.
For a complete list of Centers or Product Families and their associated products, check the November 2013 HP Software product hierarchy.

Web sites and tools that reference or use this hierarchy will be updated to reflect these changes. This includes HP Alerts, which we use to provide you with notifications with regards to software updates, obsolescence and migration. You do not have to make any updates with regards to these changes; they will be applied to your profile automatically.

For products that are moving from one Center or Product Family to another, you may not be able to find the product where you used to find it in the hierarchy. For your convenience, we’re providing the product hierarchy for each HP Software business unit as it will be effective as of November 2013.

Should have questions about these product hierarchy updates, please contact your HP representative.
