VULNERABILITY SUMMARY: Potential vulnerabilities have been identified with OpenView Network Node Manager (OV NNM). These vulnerabilities could be exploited remotely by an unauthorized user to gain privileged access.

SUPPORTED SOFTWARE VERSIONS*: ONLY impacted versions are listed. OpenView Network Node Manager (OV NNM) 6.2, 6.4, 7.01, 7.50 running on HP-UX B.11.00, B.11.11, and B.11.23, Solaris, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Linux.

HP OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM) 6.4/6.41 version obsolescence announcement


HP is announcing the version obsolescence for HP OpenView Network node Manager (NNM) 6.4/6.41. In August, 2005, customers with an active support contract will be sent a letter or electronic notification providing the most up-to-date NNM 6.4/6.41 end of sale/end-of-support information as follows:
  • NNM 6.4/6.41 customers can buy additional licenses until September 30, 2006; after that time, the affected product numbers will be off the HP Corporate Price List and no longer orderable.
  • Current Product Support will end December 31, 2007.
  • Self-Help Support (Knowledge-base) will end December 31, 2009
All customers with valid NNM 6.4/6.41 support contracts have upgrade coverage that provides for a replacement of their existing licenses with the most recent version.
